child reading the BibleThe Children’s Ministries serve our children from infant to fifth grade in various ways. They provide Sunday School, Nursery, Children’s Church, LifeNet for Kids and numerous special events throughout the year.
 
The mission of our Children's Ministries is to come alongside of parents to help equip their children to love God, serve others, and reach the world, so that children will live out the principles of the Kingdom of God with passion and purpose.
 

Children's Ministry Hour

Twice a month, similarly aged children come together for Children’s Church in lieu of Sunday School.  The Children’s Church team provides age appropriate worship, Bible stories, puppets, drama and other activities to encourage children to worship freely, learn the Word of God and develop in their spiritual gifts.
 

LifeNet for Kids

LifeNet for Kids provides instruction for kids in the areas of drama, puppets, dance, prayer and other types of ministry during the LifeNet classes on Sunday mornings.  Through use of curriculum and other materials, teachers show children how to become involved in ministry and provide opportunities for children to use their gifts and talents.
 

Sunday School

Sunday School classes are separated by grade and taught during the sermon on Sunday mornings.  Teachers use a theme-oriented curriculum designed to teach our children Godly character and the Word of God. Our current themes are:
 
  • 2, 3, & 4 year olds - Little Lambs
  • Pre-K & Kindergarten - Old Testament Stories
  • 1st Grade - New Testament
  • 2nd Grade - New Testament
  • 3rd Grade - Firm Foundations - Creation to Christ
  • 4th & 5th Grade - The Names of God

Nursery

We provide care and ministry for infants and toddlers up to two years old, during Sunday services and various other meetings of the congregation.  Contact Donna Bamford at 540-548-3915 for more information on our nursery.
 

Homeschool Co-op

Grace Church Homeschool Co-op will be holding registration June 1, 2009.  We host academic and enrichment classes, for a modest fee, August through May.  Please visit our new GHC website for additional information.
